Her mental game is most impressive to me. She entered a flow state and kept it going. I don't recall exactly when.. perhaps playoffs last year.. or the year before.. I caught the end of the a NYL WNBA playoff game where I believe Liberty was facing elimination. It was near the end of the game and Liberty was behind and a player I never knew before, Sabrina Ionescu... essentially took over the last few minutes of the game in defense, steals, passes and made buckets and they won the game. It was my first introduction to Sabrina Ionescu... pure grit... no quit. I am not surprised she put in the work to get as good as she needs to be to hit that many shots. She is a baller.. entertaining to watch and inspirational to coaches and players alike.
