Given the cost of the wilison dies or anything like them the cost of this is a great deal given the amount of different cartridges that can be done

Ok so the idea is to have 1 die for many cartridge. The counterpart is to have more moving parts into the seating die. It means more play so less precise alignment. Also I prefer have one Wilson seating die per caliber to avoid changing the settings each time.

What happens if you keep increasing the seating depth? Do you hit a hard stop eventually? If so, can you use that hard stop as a zero for the micrometer setting when switching between calibers? A dummy round for each caliber would certainly help, and of course just setting up the seating depth again every time you switch caliber is also an option, but I'd really much prefer setting the micrometer based off some "global zero" and know it's 100% repeatable.

Well… I’m an idiot. I separated my die upon first opening. It had been a while since I watched this video and I instantly remembered when pieces went flying. I won’t be playing the lottery anytime soon, I used up all my luck finding the 4 sprint and 2 detents in my kitchen!😂 I’m still ordering and extra kit just in case.

How easy is it to switch from one cartridge to another and still have the same seating depth? Does the index ring lock down so you do not accidentally move it while using?

Pretty easy to swap stuff around from cartridge to cartridge. The index ring doesn't lock, and there's really no need for it to. It doesn't move super easily, and the clicks on the die keep the setting where it's suppose to be regardless.

It doesn't. Inline dies are not meant for traditional presses.
