Regarding sac removal - Steatocystoma is a genetic condition so whether the sac is left in or not they WILL come back. Its any on going life long battle. By draining them like this it releases the pressure and makes them less painful. Sorry married to a dermatologist so full of useless information.

@curvytangerine4 жыл бұрын
@@tmo8639 the wording was a little poor but I think she means that getting the sacs out does not clear the general condition up the way it does in typical facial/back acne etc. it's true that a lot of people constantly flip out about the sac thing meaning "that same exact zit/cyst will come back in the same exact spot no matter what if you leave the sac in," but that's not even a hard and fast rule with whiteheads/blackheads as those sacs can also sometimes break down on their own... it really only applies as a totally _sure_ thing with stuff like epidermoid cysts and other types of cysts where you're like... leaving a _chonk_ in there. when the sac is like... ~meaty~

Then need to angle blade, rinse repeat. The main reason to pop them is pain relief. Dr Lee said even if you remove the sac, it can still come back and vice versa. They’re fun to watch. I really wish they’d find a good treatment/cure for steatocystoma. It is an inherited skin condition and the people complaining she’s not “getting the sac out” need to do a bit of research. With this disorder, the cysts are not filled with old skin cells, they are filled with sebum, which is why they are located more underneath the skin, because the cysts begin in the sebaceous gland. They are pretty painful, too. There have been medications that can temporarily shrink the cysts, but hopefully we’ll do better in the years to come.
@Caprifoolaceae4 жыл бұрын
Agree with everything, except the "pretty painful" part, because they really aren't. You can have them for years and only bother you because they're this weird bumps on parts of the body that shouldn't have bumps.

These are my absolute favorite kind of acne. It’s a legit cyst. Steatosystoma (sp) oil and hair stick in a pore and creates a cyst no pus stink or anything like that cuz it’s not infected but they look like different stages of butter lol oily solid mushy and in between. But they’re always butter looking. They have sacs as well that need to be removed sometimes but they’re the coolest when getting Popped. lol I love it I wish they’re were more of those videos on pimples and boils and cyst

To everyone complaining about the sacs: Would you rather have this removed every now n then with a tiny nick of the skin. Or go through the removal just to have giant scars and STILL HAVE A POSSIBILITY of having these come back?
@kjvill20134 жыл бұрын
Not a possibility. They will come back - FACT. This is steatocystoma multiplex, a rare, lifelong, and incurable genetic condition. Even if she went through with all the incision to get the sacs out, it will come back. So having bigger incisions to get rid of the sac and deal with bigger scars is pointless. And you can tell the patient is already used to this.

Giant scars? No, very minimal scarring and without removing the sack they WILL come back, and having been fiddled with in a non sterile procedure the likelihood of them becoming abscesses dramatically goes up. This isn’t acne of any form, the person temporarily removing the sack contents is not a physician.
