I grew up with Opera from learning from my grandparents at about age 12 or 13 and a little while ago my Dutch Oma sent me this link to this video and truly is just a heart warmer and just makes you want to play it over and over! I once picked up a lute in a stately home and performed an inpromptu concert from music I had learned decades before and the effect was so uplifting FOR ME! Everyone else was just shocked but in a good way. Music is so great a gift.

Those customers in the market, must have been pleasantly surprised by this song, so well sung by several singers. who sang it spontaneously. What a wonderful way to break routine on any day! What's more the singers have excellent voices, and sing very well together. Not bad for people who are not professional singers. Indeed they sing with the best.

I love the Italians ----- they have opera and music in their blood. When I was in Florence, I walked into a produce market and they were singing the Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves from Verdi's opera "Nabucco". It was beautifully sung, superbly executed, and actually made a lot of the onlookers cry out of their love for Giuseppe Verdi, the composer. In America, all we hear is rap, crap, and filth. Culturally, we are the dunces of the Western World, sorry to say.
