@@ChicoTheMan69different levels of park rangers. I’m a Deputy Probation Officer and am familiar with P.C.832 and the definition of a sworn peace officer. There are sworn Rangers that are law enforcement with the same powers as the highway patrol, city police officer, game warden, sheriff’s deputy, probation/parol officer. These Rangers can issue citations, make arrests, etc. you are confusing a sworn law enforcement ranger with the non-sworn ranger. They even have their own Ranger Academy for law enforcement rangers here in California. Regardless there are strict rules on fireworks here in California because of wildfires so these people were breaking the law and when confronted by authorities they resist and get physical, trash of society….

I used to golf at Land Park before witnessing 4 young men chasing birds and hitting them with sticks. Within 30 seconds of me seeing them... they came after ME! Luckily, I had a 7 iron in my hand and a bag of clubs next to me. One of the boys, probably 14 to 15 years old, decided it wouldn't be a good idea to come after a guy with a metal golf club in his hand. They went in another direction to my relief. Within 5 minutes, there were police sirens near the course. I haven't been back since. Who wants to go golfing and be assaulted by young people trying to injure animals. Sociopaths...

Initially it was used to help overcrowding but sadly we've seen an up kick of crime since then. He has also cut back resources for all entities of police departments, including park rangers, this is why this ranger was alone. He's also cut funding the public schools ( again) we are currently ranked #46 in the country but somehow the largest economy. Funding for foster care has also been slashed, all these things matter. All of them affect us. No need to take my word for it, everything I mentioned is easy to research on your own.

@@beancount61 Actually no. In some counties in California there’s a gate usually metal that can only be opened electronically when the customer pays. (Similar to the gates in the parking garages, hospitals, universities, military bases (with Military bases your car would be severely damaged if you attempted to enter through the gate without proper security clearance. If you don’t pay your car cannot enter the area and it can be rigged to flatten your tires if you attempt to enter illegally=spikes. Of course this is up to the HOA/residents in that neighborhood if they want the technology to do that and for the park ranger to possibly get a raise since there will be at some point a profit for charging for entry, charging for park use(day pass. I don’t understand why this regional park is not charging money 💰 for entry/parking or for using the facilities. Maybe 🤔 the County if Sacramento doesn’t want to charge money to use their park facilities? Where does the revenue come from to pay for the park rangers, the maintenance of the parks such as lighting, plumbing for the restrooms, the trees and plants in the park, the courts for basketball, volleyball, tennis, the fields for soccer/football baseball, the play structures, and the parking maintenance ect…

@@IanikeJ I live about 10 miles from Land Park. I don't know what the parks are like where you live, but Land Park is a big flat open park in the middle of the city. There are a few attractions in the park that are enclosed (Sacramento Zoo, Funderland Amusement Park), but otherwise the park is open. You can park on a street bordering the park within a few feet of the park. They would have to build miles of fences or walls around the park, which the neighbors would not like.
