Well I suppose its all about the tribe you ask. If you ask a Lakota, they will tell you that yes, while there are seven directions, And seven is a sacred number, seven is a sacred number mostly to women, and four is sacred to men. Reason being, is that to the Lakota women have seven stages of development throughout life. Men only have four stages in development. That is why there are three sacred ceremonies that only men should do.

I'm Not Sure She's Positive Of What Band Her Family Is Either, Her Great Grandma Was Sent To The Mission Schools When She Was Five Years Old. So Unfortunately Most Of Her Family History Is Lost.
