Sadness suits you well. :-) (Although when at least in part you're giving the sadness to the character in a story that touches you, instead of to a memory probably best buried at the bottom of the garden like your next husband if he irritates you too much, at least it's going to vampire up less of your soul each time, because you get to give some compassion with it - to the "someone" the character represents - or _is_ , maybe? There really is someone out there feeling the same pain of your own sad story; someone out there feeling the pain told in this story. It's real. In a way stories are more real than history, often.) Hmm ... there's a nice quirky tale to tell: A kind of Lamia love song for the man you murdered. Imagine the fun you could have with that concept. Have him commit a fairly slight misdemeanour, for which he dies by your hand, but now you miss him. Maybe I'm just a sicko (which I am, as you can see from the name), but I think it's got potential.
