"It's amazing what a boat can do" No truer words have EVER been spoken. I don't think the full impact of your project will ever be fully understood. I like many others found it during Covid. An outlet. A window. A vision. A place for sanity. A place of hope. Although I have never met any in person , I feel as though I am hanging out with a group of friends. The outpouring for Raul and Darlene further proves there is a large group of like minded folks hanging out too! Hasn't always been fun , but it has been real and THAT is much appreciated. Thank you to Leo for having the tenacity not just to take on the project but for the willingness to document the journey so we all can come along for the ride too!

Leo the one thing that will always stick with me about why Darlene was a warm lovin soul. I remember it was the day you were moving Tally Ho to her new build spot. When everything was all bundled and secured it was time for you to leave and say good bye. Darlene standing there with her husband watching you leave she began to cry. My hearts of hearts tell me that she took you like a son which probably made her feel like she was sending off one of children into the big new world. 🤗 Condolences to the family and Bigs thanks to them for letting you start on Tally Ho in the yard so we subs could watch Tally’s new beginning.

When Tally Ho was moved, I was struck that Darlene was so emotional! Up until then, it had not occurred to me that the two of them were themselves personally invested in the project... It's inspirational to get a glimpse into what a bunch of genuinely nice people can achieve. And especially that so many people, across continents, are prepared to offer support to complete strangers. There is hope for us yet; it is easy to lose sight of all the good in the World.

This channel is a perfect example of the best of humanity. We came together to support Leo in accomplishing the impossible: to rebuild a thing of beauty that had fallen into ruin. From the very beginning it was obvious that Leo was capable of completing this heroic task, and I along with many many other were inspired to support him. Darlene and Raul being first and foremost. That they opened their shop, and home, to Leo at the get-go was a stunningly generous act of faith in Leo. As always, every act of open generosity is amply rewarded. They gave to the Tally Ho project with no expectation other than a beautiful boat, but they received such generosity that Raul is going to be taken care of now that Darlene is gone. The clip of Darlene and Raul is such a gift to me, a supporter from Episode #3. A massive massive thank-you to Leo for giving me this.

From the Santiano family to yours, our deepest condolences. Been watching since the boat was in their yard, and what a wonderful couple. You have to name Tally's skiff/dinghy Darlene.
