Saddle Up in Style: Custom Seat Cover for my Ducati HyperMotard 950 SP

With the Hypermotard almost looking perfect, I felt (and some viewers) the plain boring seat was letting the bike down. So, it's now time for a change.
I reached out to Volcano Industry Motorcyle Seat Covers from Italy who was happy to help out. He offers a custom design service or a ready made design from his shop. They can make the cover and you can fit yourself or (as I did) he can fit them to your seat (added costs).
The whole process was easy with great communications, edited deigns and even some videos. Shipping was quick from Italy and as the video shows the end result is bang on!

That's completely awesome. I customized my factory seat I'm literally sitting on 5 cm of gel it's more than one inch lower than the factory low seat. I need to have a custom cover made because no cover will work on this seat now. And it"s good thing you didn't try to take apart the factory seat, being short I have done a lot of motorcycle seats in my time and this Ducati seat is one of the hardest I've ever done. You cannot use regular quarter inch staples you need 8th inch Staples, otherwise in the front of the seat the Staples will go right through the cover. We have a custom seat maker here in California I'm going to go have a chat with them. The bike is looking completely awesome definitely the best one on KZbin my pockets are not that deep to spend that kind of money, but at least I don't have to go to the dealer anymore.

Nice looking seat, I have a lowered seat too, as I have short legs, now I can put both feet flat on the ground, just makes you feel more confident and these bikes are a bit too expensive to dropped. Great vid, interesting including the video of them making it. All the best.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧

Nice touch! Have you considered Rizoma clutch and break reservoirs? Those together with the Rizoma stealth mirrors would really finish off the upper half the the Hyper.

Nice video. I got the lowered seat, and I ws thinking on getting a custom cover for it, my question is do you know if the cover for the standard seat will fit? I'm in the US and my options are limited. So I was wondering if I buy a seat cover would it fit the lowered seat? Thanks

I rode 700 miles from UK to Assen and back.. Seat was ok with coffee/fuel breaks as the tank lasts about 100miles so its about right
