I just purchased the larger bag but still plan on getting the same smaller one. They look great. One for day trips and the other for anything longer.

Seeing those long tie strings on the rain cover. Be sure to tuck them secure so they don't get in with the tire/spokes/drive belt.

Very nice saddlebags, like them very much. Maybe I should get some of those for my good old `21 Heritage 😃 Actually I bought some nice little chrome wings to eliminate the wind buffering! They sit left and right underneath the windshield and doing really great! Maybe you can try them in another video because they are originally made for the Road King,…. Regards Matt

Nice choice going with tactical. They'll look good on any of your bikes, than if you just went with leather.👌😃

I have a Kuryakin bag that is very similar to yours. The only difference I can see is the rack bag can be clipped to the top of the big bag. I used the rack bag as my camera bag within my camera bag.
@TheSmoaksVlogs8 ай бұрын
Cool..! This rack bag can be attached atop the big bag as well, but I wouldn't what all that weight stacked so high. Thanks Charles!! 👍

Man just love those bags…lots of options and they look real good on the bike. 👌 Now I wonder how you would get one of those on the Spyder 😉 lol. Have a great one 👍

The straps it comes with would workout somehow on a Spyder I'm sure... Thanks Chris!! 👍

As one of my old bosses used to say 'The bigger your warehouse is, the more stuff you'll fill it with'.... Just sayin.... I had 30+K in two sidecases and an 'overnight' kayak type bag strapped on the rear seat for a two week tour in Spain, I wouldn't have taken any more if I had been touring for 3 months in Europe. I'd take a whole lot less if I was doing it tomorrow. I saw a guy on a Kawasaki 636 on a two week tour of Spain with a tiny rucksack strapped to the pillion seat 😲

I have a BMW customer that tours on RT's & GS's that I'm pretty sure there's a kitchen sink is in there somewhere..! Lol He purchased an R1800, a stripped down cruiser (designed directly off a Harley Softail Slim) when they 1st came out and he tours all over heck's half acres on it with nothing more than a small backpack. He says those are his favorite trips, and only needs enough room to carry his toothbrush. Yet he still overpacks his RT & GS. I'm an over packer as well, but getting better. Way too much camera & computer gear. I'll have to be this time, as this is less than half the room I had with the GSA's on the last three trips... The big blue BMW duffle bag I used equals the large Saddlemen bag alone at 3,100ci. Thanks Paul!! 👍

@@TheSmoaksVlogs I'm new to touring on the bike...although I did the UK to the South of France in the car in the late '70's (2K miles round trip) .. I was 19...😲 I'm an overpacker too, as I'm a 'what if' kind of guy.... sure glad i had my gaffa tape and cable ties on my last trip as the speedo cable cable connector snapped at the speedo drive.... I wasn't bothered about the speed, I know that from the tacho, but my bike needs to run ethonol free or near to it, and it's not easy to find 'out in the sticks' in Wales...and my bike doesn't have a fuel gauge ....😲
@TheSmoaksVlogs8 ай бұрын
@@paullee6663 Lol..! I’m a horrible “What If?” guy as well. Like you, having prepping type items has saved me or a riding buddy too many times to stop now. No speedo or fuel gauge, now that’s true adventure riding! Now folks won’t ride a bike if it doesn’t have back-lit switch clusters or a gear indicator on the dash..! Lol 🤣 Rookies!

@TheSmoaksVlogs8 ай бұрын
No, I'll watch the Sturgis Rally from the comfort of my home, have no desire to battle that nightmare... Lol 👌 We're going this month and enjoy all the rides around the area, while using Sturgis as a home base. Thanks!! 👍
