Not too many people know that Sade is her name, but also the name of the band as well. Those music executives that told her, he voice wasn’t strong enough for a successful career are still kicking the air because Sade has been a golden name since the 80’s. She/they’re just very intentional about releasing music, which is why we’ve only gotten little music from them this past decade. Still throws me off when she speaks with her British accent 😭 Their Lovers Live album is one of my favorite albums of all time I’d say the closest artist to evoke similar feelings in the soul would be Cleo Sol. Not the same vibe completely, but you hear Sade’s influence in Cleo’s style

I’ve never really loved this video 😂. I just think it’s too cheesy to fit the intensity of her voice. Aside from the video, this is BY FAR my favorite Sade song!
