That's because she preserved her voice. She and her band can be called as the most successful band ever. As they can take long hiatus and easily sold out all the tickets whenever they feel like they want to do a live show. Most artist didn't have luck like her, their producer is forcing them to work like horse and milk them alive.

The tightness of the band, the intoxicating groove, and the perfection of Sade's technical and emotional vocals still gives me goose bumps after all these years. Amazing class and musicianship. It really is insane how consistent both Sade herself and the band are. There are times you’d be forgiven for thinking they’re miming, often the only deviation from the studio versions are intentional ones, flourishes added and whatnot. And of course her voice now has a subtly richer, warmer resonance with age. I hope they tour again so I get to see them live in my lifetime!
