Matt Engle it's supposed to be repetitive. The bass line is the body of the song. You don't change bodies everyday when you awake right? No you don't! You stay in the same body everyday. That's the way the bass line of a song is. It doesn't switch!!

I'm a 65yr old man. Bought her 1st album release, and feel her whenever I hear her voice on the radio, even in stores. Sometimes when I'm at home alone I play my favorites and have to confess, I can get choked up. Watching these videos of her helps me keep some faith and hope for myself, and the world. I once took a 4 hour trip across the desert and listened to her cd with the song "The color of love". I was at a bad place at the time but felt that same angel at the helm.

What she's saying in this song is sooo relevant to today, it was damn near prophetic

Mama been laid off Papa been laid off My brother's been laid off For more than two years now Ooh can't get a job Billy can't get a job Ooh they gotta listen to the blues Help them to strive Help them to move on Help them to have some future Help them to live long Help them to live life Help them to smile Don't let them stay home and listen to the blues Mama been laid off Papa been laid off Billy can't get a job For too long too long Don't let them lose We gotta give them a chance It's gonna come back on everyone If you don't make them dance Don't let them stay home and listen to the blues There's nothing sacred (why, why, why) Breathing hatred We have to face it (why, why, why) No one can take it And feel no pain Mama been laid off Papa been laid off My brother's been laid off For more than two years now Ooh can't get a job Billy can't get a job Ooh they gotta listen to the blues Help them to strive Help them to move on Help them to have some future Help them to live long Help them to live life Help them to smile Don't let them stay home and listen to the blues One day we're gonna wake up And the ghetto's all around All over my friend Have you ever seen a man break down Do you know how that feels To walk the street with your head held high Why, why, why Oh lord have mercy Did you ever see a man break down There's nothing sacred Breathing hatred We have to face it No-one can take it (how can they take that much) And feel no pain

Probably one of the most powerful lyrics i heard from one of her on a subject barely enough people talk about

I'd literally give my kidney to see her live! Shame that she only tours when Sade does an album. A rare talent who I hope to see one day! Absolutely beautiful too.

I REALLY WON’T TO KNOW WHY THE QUEEN CAN’T KILL THE KING. I have played hundreds of chess games on my iMac and can only win in the lower % of capability. WHY CAN’T THE QUEEN KILL THE KING ?
