Why show shots of Henry Richardson (Eric Dobson) whilst talking about Ballard Berkeley? Who on earth is Sir William Whitfield? Ballard Berkeley played Guy Penrose! He wasn’t a family friend either - he was Hester’s father and Nancy’s ex-husband! Philip Bird played Peter Richardson, Emma’s partner - not Hester’s husband and who on earth is Bob Rawlings? Who are the clips of? - they’re not Philip Bird and I hardly think he died in 1994 when he’s been in various programmes since then - even Emmerdale and EastEnders and was certainly still acting in 2021.

I loved fresh fields recently saw re runs best bit when hesta was cooking pasta she was distracted on the phone ,and accidently put the phone in boiling water and pasta to her ear!! On floor laughing. Oh and when Hester threw cold water on Sonia trying to stop cats fighting.!!

I have loved Ann Beech forever. Will never forget her. Fanny Rowe lived next door to my friend. Fanny killed herself, unable to deal with her age and decline.

So sad what a loss,Fanny passed this same year 1988 as her costar x hubby, Ballard Berkley on fresh fields. That’s tragic, she seemed such a lovely lady. 😢especially to feel that sad she took her life.

IAM watching him now in man in a suitcase on London live channel . great actor who was in a lot of the 1960s TV series. The prisoner, the saint, the film , with Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton but can't remember the title of the film .

The often forgotten sequel to "Fresh Field" but equally successful "French Fields" brought the show to the continent. I don't know where abouts in France that was actually filmed but probably Normandy.
