So glad that you re back and making these tutorials again. And by the way I always thought that your voice has something special in it, it s like some kind of a therapy like “be calm this is how it’s done, you can do it also”:))

is it easier to make loops with samples in an audio track than to put each sample into a drum rack and use the piano roll?
@CarlyonProduction
@CarlyonProduction 5 жыл бұрын
Depends what you are used to really. I always used the drum machine as I love it. I also synthesise a lot of drums tho so it helps with that. Just started using reaper and for the first time in ages I’m using all samples on the timeline - can be very cool too!

How to do ghost notes on a snare?

It’s all about the rhythm, if you don’t have a good feel foe it just keep messing around in 8th,16th and even 32th notes, make some dotted or whatever, give them space, make them of varying velocity, cut off the transient, move the wave form further back a bit. You gotta get your hands dirty with these things. And yeah, delay can do the trick, but I personally don’t do it with delay, I do them manually so I have the fine control.

Ah yes perfect. My genre finally!! I'm going to get Ableton in the coming weeks so this tutorial came at the perfect time. One thing I've seriously been confused on is how people get a dub techno sound. Kind of like the inconsistent sounding noises in El Choop - Unknown Landscapes kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoPXlmaIeNugqrs . If you can decrypt that process it'd make for a very interesting video!

there’s nothing „underground techno“ in it. Just shallow Drumcode sound (max)
