Scrap the year and let the children do the grade over next year. It's already too late damage done to the schooling let's all be rational and responsible in thinking now
@pinkykubatsi4094 жыл бұрын
I seconded you Sarah because for grade 12s isn’t easy for them some kids didn’t understand from homeschooling then we will 100%passing rate and worse part before we get into lockdown already schools have high rate children who are too slow grab but we will expect them to pass while was not easy for them before even now they still on same stage but our minister reopens school better school start next year let’s rewind our minds to 1976 what was happening in that year there was no school no work life was not good at all or normal but youth of 1976 repeated their grades even our grade 12s of this they think they rather repeat their grade 12 next year than to pass with higher certificate they want to make us proud and why they don’t ask children what they want as our president isn’t force to let our children to go back to school and our children also still scared and they worried about safety and their health as we are worried us their parents

What has the department been doing at the ground level for the last 7 weeks? Schools have had this time to sanitize and implement PPE guidelines in each and every school in preparation for the opening of these institutions (this why we are in lockdown - to prepare our health services), whether or not the kids go back. I understand there is new data about COVID-19 and this makes it hard to set a date but from my understanding, it would have been prudent to start the deep cleaning and sanitizing of learning institutions and most of all BE PREPARED to open with teachers & staff trained so that 10 days to open schools would be MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME....

No one should go back now, we are entering winter and our immune systems will be compromised. It will be much harder for our immunity to defend against this virus. In conjunction with that, children will be more wary about their environment and not even concentrate in such conditions. The minister should wait until ALL provinces are completely ready and then propose a date to reopen. And not gamble with time.

I’m sorry, however, us kids need to go to school. There’s so many kids that don’t have the privilege to study online and are missing a whole term of school! My question is did the department of education hire health professionals to screen learners and teachers, cause covid 19 positive maybe symptomatic or asymptomatic. So with taking temp only are they going to be sure they screened? Are the learners quarantined because some as we speak they are in other provinces. What about incubation period if they return back being infected? Minister this kids's lives are very very important
