That brass thing with the 2 screws is key override lock. Usually a cheap cross lock

i tried it today 11/05/2016on the same safe and that did not work for me maybe it is a newer model?? but looks identical. the safe would not even let me put that many 0's for me when i put the 5th zero it said "error" and did not work i tried with 1,2,3 and 4 zeros and still did not open maybe the hotel ordered it that way with a default pass code ???

Hotel management should reset the Mastercode which is mostly 0000 before they install the safe, this has not happened to this safe.
