At the end of the PI Planning meeting, each team identifies a business-level goal for the upcoming Program Increment (PI). This goal is called Team's PI Objective. To make the commitment on PI Objective more reliable, SAFe recommends having committed and uncommitted PI Objectives

Sir what is the frequency of PI planning event ? Do we have any situation that PI planning is conducted at ad-hoc basis ..pls suggest

Frequency is once in PI, and PI is of 8 to 12 Weeks , ad-hoc as name suggested is can't be planned to things happen as they needed.

Very informative video. What happens if the team is unable to complete 100% of all the committed PI objectives by the end of the PI?

Things can go wrong, but better we come to know as they go wrong, mean good to identify is some of the PI objectives are not going to get met during the PI itself rather than at the end. What we do, we depend on the situation, SAFe suggest apply SAFe principles to make decisions.

@@jaycee1363 it depends , yes if the priority remains high for given features they are most likely to get planned in upcoming PI , so we discuss them along with other items in coming PI planning meeting

Who prioritizes program increment objectives? IS it Product Owner or Business owner?

Unlike Scrum we do not have one person taking decision on prioritization, its a joint effort. So group of business owners gives Business Value to a Team's PI Objectives and these business values drives the prioritization. The fine grain prioritization of Team backlog is later done by Product Owner.

@@izenbridge What if the uncommitted objective has the highest Business Value? Should it be done first in the PI? Or maybe committed objectives should be done first even tough they have lower Business Value?

@@gipsiuful If uncommitted objective has higher business value it is expected to be done first, team may discuss how can they bring higher business value one in committed area, where team lack confidence of doing something but it is high in value, that can be in uncommitted but have high value.
