*safe* products for locs at the store

There is an amazing brand that I buy from Walmart and it specifically made for locs and it's called Made For Locs. I love all of their products, they are vegan and loc friendly and don't cause build up.

Started my loc journey back in Oct. I was told to use a certain "oil", but I felt as though it wasn't working for me. Came across your KZbin channel, and it has been beyond helpful. I've been using your products for almost a month, and could tell a significant difference very quickly. Even my loctician said that my hair looked great when I went in for a retwist this morning 🙂. I’ve heard so many positives about Carol’s Daughter Wash Day Delight as a shampoo that doesn’t create build-up but also doesn’t completely strip all the moisture from one’s hair (mostly from people with microlocs). Surprised it was on the list.

I’ve been using it on my 3-year-old locks for the past couple of months and haven’t noticed any build up or other issues.

This WAS actually helpful. I just started my locs (myself) two weeks ago and have used SheaMoisture throughout my natural hair journey (11+ years). So…. I’m glad to know that I should discontinue using the SM shampoo 🙏🏾

When I first had Locs back in the early 80’s. I just washed them with Dr. Bonner’ s peppermint. Now, I have had my new Locs last March or April 2022. But, I am lost because now I have to get them retwist. I’m lost with the products! I just want to wash my hair and wrap my Locs. My Locs are health.

I use shea moisture low porosity shampoo after my clarifying shampoo. Thankfully, I haven’t had any buildup because my hair can’t handle any heavy products. I also use this aloe retwist gel you suggested and I love it. I also use dr. Locs products, also from a video I watched of you reviewing the products.

I’ve used the Tight Hold on my kids locks. We all have very low porosity hair, so build-up happens really easily. It’s really powerful and I found if I used what felt like an almost nonexistent amount it was ok, but eventually just switched to pure aloe from the health food store. I find it works almost as well and I don’t have to stress over build-up

Exquisite. I use it with the mint conditioner...didn't care for the oat shampoo. They r ultra moisturizing BUT ...imo...if u use a different conditioner after their shampoo the hair is not the same. Stick 2 the line. It's worth it.
