I would be careful with a bamboo perch that I’m absolutely sure it’s thick enough to hold the birds weight. Bamboo is known for particularly dangerous splinters.

Hi i kind of have a problem, i am making toys for my budgie and i wanted to use the small wood pieces but idk if they are safe. The wood is light brown/skin color that has few small brown lines and when i made a smal hole it was kind of soft. Hey, this is what I found on Google Cedar occasionally appears on safe lists. If Cedar is to be used, Red cedar should be avoided for the same reasons as redwood. Yellow and Sitka Cedar may be safe though. Mediterranean Laurel is safe.

Hey, if your budgie shows any signs of vomiting/dirreah or other unusual things, you should take it to the vet, if not, it's still better to take it to the vet if you have the option as Oleander is a very toxic tree, even for humans.
