I think Bitcoin uses ECC, not RSA. Can still be cracked using Shor's algorithm so would be critical if real quantum computing is ever invented. I suspect it will always be 20 years away for at least the next couple of thousand years. I'm usually very upbeat about tech but progrss to date seems like a scam.

To replace with a quantum-resistant digital signature properly in future, it's a very expensive trade-offs, not only does it need to keep long-term Proof-of-Work merchanism, but also it need to keep some unique features as what ECDSA have present, schnorr plus. it's nearly impossible. Lopp have present a very great slides out there, sooner rather than later! Whole of crypto communities should response as what Lopp have been calling for! Thanks! Lopp!

@@RichardMcCulloch-fq9ks you can’t even build applications on the base layer. It’s a slow, failed blockchain. Would you still use dial up connect knowingly there’s fiber optic connection for faster use?

The largest company in the world (Apple) still has events every year... So do many others down the list. Bitcoin has protected my wealth and gotten easier to use every year since I first started using it. lol Sounds like failure to me!
