Safely Loading A Golf Cart Into An F150 Truck

I wanted a safe way to load my 2009 EZ-GO RXV electric golf cart into the back of my 2010 F150. The truck has the max tow package, with a bed capacity rating of 1810 lbs., and a tow rating of 11,100 lbs. The bed length is 6.5'. The ramps are 11' ramps from longramps.com. Very heavy duty, and can carry up to 1600 lbs. per set. The most important step is to attach the ratchet straps from the ramps, to the hitch of the truck. This prevents the ramps from pulling away from the truck during loading or unloading. Lots of KZbin videos of people omitting that step. I have no affiliation with the company. Willing to bet with that trailer on the hitch, family and fuel in the truck he is over max payload

Max towing 11,100 lbs. Max bed 1810 lbs. Golf cart is 900 lbs. Trailer is an ultra lite model, about 4500 lbs loaded. Two passengers. In some cases, your concern would be valid. But I specifically purchased this truck and trailer after much research. I finally sold the truck after 115k miles, and the trailer after 10 years. That setup worked really well. Now we have a much larger Class A, and tow the golf cart on a trailer.

What length ramps are those? I have a F350 and it sits a little higher than a 150. I want to get the 11 foot ramps for the shallowest incline as possible.

As mentioned in the description, these are the 11' long version. These will work great on your F350.

Google say the tailgate has a weight limit of 600 lbs. Did you add supports to the tailgate or seen any stress to it? Thanks in advance!

All trucks are not built the same. I've seen online pics of Toyota truck tailgates delaminating as a golf cart was loaded. My 2010 F150 tailgate was very strong, and had extra support inside for the integrated step and deployable pole. But what I discovered is the dropped tailgate could impact the travel trailer during a sharp turn. So whenever we took the trailer, I removed the tailgate. The golf cart "just" fit in the 6.5' bed. If you have any doubts, remove the tailgate. I would be very expensive to replace!

@@2manytoyz123 Thanks! Yeah I've seen a few videos that removed the tailgate - even used wood boards to extend it a bit. I was looking to get a cart and trying to figure how to get it home. Ends up they delivered! These carts are fun!
