I am still a bit confused in how to scrub, I understand that u need to push the wheel to the ground, i guess. At least that wAt I understood...I guess my question is...WHAT IS THE BODY MOVEMENT TO SUCK UP THE JUMP?
@AjCatanzaro3 жыл бұрын
If you don’t comprehend that, you really aren’t ready to be “scrubbing” just yet. The body movement to soak up the jump vertically needs to be fully understood first. It’s like pumping a bicycle through a pump track, standing vertically on the transition of the face, and allowing the bike to come all the way to you when cresting the takeoff
@ballou17773 жыл бұрын
😤 I wish I was there. I would have jumped it because everybody else was. And the jump face was perfect.

I learned scrubbing by watching your video on scrubbing but for the most part it just naturally came as I got faster...... just flick the bike over on the lip and there is your scrub
@AjCatanzaro3 жыл бұрын
Yep, it’s nice to understand how to do it, but a true scrub will only start to happen as you get faster and more aggressive
@coolbeans8453 жыл бұрын
@@AjCatanzaro that’s true because now days since the competition just gets stiffer every year you have no choice but to learn how to scrub

The secret tho that ppl don't know is how to get the bike low, the trick is you have to counter steer to get the bike low, so basically if you want to lean the bike to the right you have to steer the bike to the left.😁😉

I understood how to work with your knees and heaps while scrubbing but would you please say a couple of words on how to work eith the steering? What is the timing and the actually the goal of it?
@AjCatanzaro3 жыл бұрын
Believe it or not, there isn’t a ton going on with the bars when you’re scrubbing. Your arms allow the bike to snap under you, but you shouldn’t be doing anything extreme with the bars

@dylanamidon37523 жыл бұрын
I'm 17 and at a track near my house there is a 150ft table it throws guys about 50 ft in the air and it's a steep take off to steep landing. I wanted to try it but I didn't because I had no idea the speed and it looked pretty high risk do to the fact how vertical the landing was. I'm a relatively new rider but I have my own little personal track in my side yard and have machines to make obstacles and features that will help me get better so I have learned a lot. I think I would do fine if I cased it because I built a good sized jump steep to steep and feel fine when I did come up short but the 150ft is steeper and a little scarier. I was just wondering what tips you might have to hit this big jump. I have been on the bike about a year but I've really pushed the technical aspects of riding it and have gain a lot of speed and confidence. I'm ready to move to the b class if I could hit that jump and other jumps like it. I would be very grateful for any advice on how to do that, also love what you are doing with the channel me and my friend watch it all the time. Thank you for your time and reading this.

hey as im watching this video watching you do it and then watching them do to. is it better to take a little bit more air time to have bot wheel hit the ground or better to only get a back tier down a little bit early
@AjCatanzaro3 жыл бұрын
When demonstrating I did a pass or two where I scrubbed, then landed in a wheelie across the top of the jump, then scrubbed out of the wheelie. Which is a very technical thing to do. I would suggest getting both wheels back on the ground
@andrey07703 жыл бұрын
This is one of the awesome kind of jumps. While jumping it you are facing the cognitive dissonance because on a regular tabletop your brain expects the height decrease by the end of the jump and here contraversary You see the increasing gap under your feet and only after it You land)
