Saffron Henderson - Kid Gohan's 1st English Voice

So cool to see you interviewing the original English voice of young Gohan herself, Saffron Henderson. Fun fact: Years ago, she cameoed as the rocker girl named JJ in Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. Although that movie was mediocre, Saffron looked so pretty in it, and she still looks beautiful today. It was kind of a shame her character was killed by Jason too soon. It would’ve been cool to see her perform at New York in the movie.

To this say, Saffron is one reason I will always gravitate back to the Ocean dub. The voice performance she gave Gohan in those first arcs captured the fear of a lost child in over his head perfectly.

I remember hearing her as Kid Goku on YTV when I was little. It’s such a shame that it lasted only one arc. She’s a legend in Canadian dubbing!

"I feel like we re-recorded that 13 episodes" Just imagine from May '94 to September '95 they dubbed the movie twice and 13 episodes. Could they have done the 13 episodes twice in that amount of time? They had one movie made before January 1st '95. So nine months to do one movie and 13 episodes. I would kill to know some more almost had been material, such as the Renassance Atlantic project in 94.
