Amazingly 2 of my friends are salafi ( ahe le hadith) Wallahi I asked them both on separate occasions about how to do gussul wallah if they new . These guys are critics of every major school & scholars and this is what they have be taught. Not what is essential. May Allah save us all. Ameen

Creating a new madhab would be crazy difficult but I still think it's necessary just to accommodate for the fitan of the modern West.

Fatwas are always given for new matters, they just follow the usul of the 4 Madhhabs in issuing them

The Salafis can be categorised as being under the Hanbali mathab.

​@@eriKhaled But the hanbalis dont accept them and they deviate from the madhab a lot and clearly say they judge all opinions (even of the companions) on their own understanding of the quran and sunnah. Hanbalis accept tawassul and salafis declare it shirk.

What about resurrecting mathabs that once existed and had plenty of followers? For example the Zahiri mathab of Ibn Hazm and Dawud Al Zahiri. It is a Sunni mathab also! Al Muhalla by Ibn Hazm covers a lot of masa'il regarding the deen.

Isnad/chain of transmission is the problem. Same suggestion what about Jafari was sunni before hijacked by shia. If you can convince people with empty of hundred years isnad, then go ahead. Or make new one like Rasullah Mazhab.
