I've never gotten a tattoo, so I decided to take the plunge...and as a celebration for 5 million subscribers, I wanted to let you guys help me choose my very first tattoo! So I had you submit suggestions, and then I picked 4 options and had you all vote on KZbin, and then went to a parlor and got ~tatted~!

HER ARTIST USED TRANSPARENT FILM DRESSING!!! It's a medical dressing that let's it breathe, but fluid can't get in or out so it creates a false blister and protects the new tattoo the first few days when it's the most tender, seeping serum, and needs to be kept super clean. It's really nice to see an artist treating a tattoo with proper wound care ^_^

@@LilyDelane You as well Lily. IV dressing and burn covering is the most common use, but there are many more. The film most hospitals use is called Tegaderm, but there are other brands. I would also check if the film used was real and not a dangerous knockoff with unsafe ingredients (only made to LOOK correct) that somehow got to your artist.

Then there's my professional tattoo opinion as well by the way, I wish for saf, those bat's will stay like that. When healing lines wil thicken and details get lost. The points of the bat will become less sharp. Over many years, it might look blurry. It's not rocket science. And it's not the problem of the artist because it might take 5 years before it actually happens.
