Miss Aquamarine Thanks for putting it so directly. It does make it odd that a video on a half Indian woman's channel, featuring two other Indian women, would call it the wrong thing? Maybe they did it because that's what a lot of people know it as, even though it's incorrect.

Saf said that Freddie had permission from HR to appear in Saf's channel. i would imagine Michelle did, too, since Saf wouldn't want to risk that. I imagine since Saf's channel is just her as a person and not as a company, they're more lenient about allowing them to show up since there are no contracts involved here and it would be overstepping to say they aren't allowed to appear in their REAL friends' videos bc it's a part of Saf's life. It'd be harder to say Saf can't record them than it is to say one of their own employees did something "with another company". The lines are a little less blurry there (even if still wildly unfair).
@ramilomb61427 жыл бұрын
I love how similar this is to lady like. It shows that you really do like make up and beauty related videos and weren't just an actress or something pretending in your time at buzzfeed. By saying it's similar I mean that we can see how your lady like was influenced by your ideas

Like everyone said, she wasn't influenced by Lady Like. You can actually see Lady Like's decline in content quality now that Saf has left for about a year now. If you see previous videos, she has a tattoo on her hand. I thought it was an actual tattoo, but I believe this is when she got that one, as in the last part of the video it looks the same color as the one she has on the other videos. She did mention she had some circumstances that made her hold the release of the video, so timeline kinda matches :)
@sssophie92927 жыл бұрын
Sol Sierra wait, I'm still a little confused. Does she now have a real tattoo? Did she recently have a temporary tattoo? Or did she have this henna a while back in another video?

When I was younger I was at Daytona Beach spring break and got a henna tattoo on my lower back (aging myself here because these were popular at the time) and I was pretty drunk. Basically, right after I got it, it smeared and looked like a giant brown blob....so for couple weeks I had deal with it, but luckily no one really saw it unless I was sitting and my shirt came up in the back. i was wondering; is it okay for me, a 100% white girl to get henna? i just want to know if its cultural appropriation to get henna just because its really beautiful?
@azeenanj91857 жыл бұрын
Fandoms have ruined my life well..kinda but I personally wouldn't be offended or think much of it if I saw a white girl with it :)

there are a lot of different cultures that use henna/mehendi so i don't think one culture can really claim it! personally, i think getting some henna done for a wedding or celebration would be totally ok!

Excujuu mee Because it is part of the Indian/Asian culture, as they are not part of that culture (presumably), some who are part of that said culture may find this offensive 🙁

I’ve been so tempted to by a tube of Henna from the Manchester ‘Mella’ (UK/Indian festival) each year but didn’t realise that you can’t do it on yourself. After watching this, I asked my bloke if he was up for that and got a resounding “Nope!” Yours both came out so precise and lovely!

So my family is Pakistani, and they do henna (We call it mehndi. Fellow brown people?) a lot. Like a lot. So when I was younger, my mom, cousins, aunts, EVERYONE tried to do henna on me, but I hated it. You know why? Cause I hate the smell. Like I hate it with a passion. The design? Love it, think it's great, but the damn smell of the mixture (my mom once had an open bowl of the stuff) KILLS me.

Love henna! In Cebu Philippines, we have a festival day here where henna tattooing booths are scattered all over the central part of the city. Henna tattooing isnt restricted to just the hands. It's tattooed anywhere in the body and is usually a tribal design. when i had mine, I went for a barcode on my nape and another on my tailbone.

I love henna tats. I think there is a way to make the tats. darker, if you use tea- ( I'm not sure what kinds though). It'll make the henna stain longer also. Getting organic, pure, high-quality henna makes a big difference, also.
