I feel like this should almost be a top list of school / slice of life shows (aside from the obvious shows) With that being said I HIGHLY recommend Kids on a slope (Sakamichi no Apollon ) dirrected by Shinichirō Watanabe ( Director of Zankyou no terror , Cowboy beebob , samurai champloo) Its probably one of the only slice of life shows I have ever liked , A real masterpiece.
