As a McDonald's employee, 1. Our sensors don't go off if people are in front of the speaker. It only goes off for cars. We do have a camera that we can see. But we don't pay too much attention to it. 2. After the store is closed, we're told to ignore the customers. There had been times when we had to temporarily close the store during business hours. If we were to do this, we're required to tell the customers that we're temporarily closed and an eta on when we'll be open again. Which this is what they failed to do. (This is usually due to having to restart the entire POS system to force an update.) But even then, they should have just told you that the store is closed and saved the hassle. Especially since it's during posted business hours.
