100% yes to reading your gear's manual. I've missed features and ways of using plugins because I didn't read the manual first. Also, how do you feel about using parallel compression as well to bring out detail and add power?

Forget my question about parallel compression as you addressed it a couple of weeks ago.

I will soon buy Boost from UrsaDSP (which i have seen in some of your recent videos too). Therefore i would be happy if you could cover in depth that maximizer in one of your next videos.

What are you trying to tell us with the 4th point? The -7 LUFS version is LOUDER than the -12 LUFS one, which contradicts what you said, i.e., there is no point of mastering louder if a platform normalizes the audio. Confusing.
@sick3drako
@sick3drako 3 жыл бұрын
nah bro, most professional audios are mastered at -8LUFS, it's just an in deep industry standard for color + overall punchiness of the song

@@sick3drako I don't disagree, what I was saying is the 4th point and its example is confusing.
@HandHeldHalo
@HandHeldHalo 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I do see your point as I was expecting that both would sound at a relatively similar volume with the -12 LUFS possibly a little more dynamic but the -7 LUFS version sounded so much louder as if it hadn't been pulled down to -13 LUFS (KZbin Normalization) and level matched to the -12 LUFS version which I thought was going to be the illustration.
@sick3drako

@@HandHeldHalo -13lufs be sounding waacck, weeaker, fuck that listen to my mixtape 😈😈
@markblair478
@markblair478 3 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that KZbin normalization just affects the ENTIRE track's AVERAGE level... so the -7 was bound to be louder than the -12 version... but, at the same exact normalized volume, the more dynamic -12 version will ALWAYS sound better, because it "breathes" a bit more...
