Very strange but both my legions I just purchased new come with the flat part of the recoil spring towards the muzzle. Just thought that was odd, great video btw. Thank you.

It doesn’t matter what side of the spring is in front or back. Some people like to install painted end towards barrel lug. So you can identify what pound spring is in place 🤙

Yeah, I’ve been searching online and reviewed the manual to try and figure out which side of the recoil spring goes towards the muzzle. When I first deassembled mine for its first cleaning, the flat end was towards the muzzle, but then I watched several cleaning videos ( including the sig academy one ) saying it should be the opposite. Every now and then when I reassemble after cleaning, the guide rod sticks out a bit. I was thinking perhaps that was related to me having the wrong end of the recoil spring on the guide rod? Anyone else ever have the same issue with their x5 legion?

Hey could you also make a video of the cleaning products that you used in that video? The p320 x5 Legion is my first handgun and I absolutely love it but my local gun store 9mm cleaning kit is definitely not the best, a video like that would help out so much. Just like this video so thank you

nice video and amazing cleaning gear. But according to SIG you mounted the spring the wrong way: the open side of the spring faces the guide rod. (video link for reference: kzbin.info/www/bejne/poa5Z4eVfKdpitE) if you have the open side fazing the muzzle side , you risk pushing it through every time you mount it.
