I play the app quite a bit and I don't know how excited I am about this. I like puzzles, but don't really enjoy coloring.

Sounds intriguing but is it worth $75 US + shipping? Really hard to say. Especially for a roll and write

to me, it's you're getting a new "sagrada 2" + 2 or 3 expansions worth of additional content all in the same bo. that would normally cost more that $75 sold separately :)

6:47 Isn’t there a reset pack which you can buy from the campaign?

yes though you only need it if you want to play through the story instead of just continuing to play once the story is over (the story is VERY thin)

How much is it different from the Mobile app game? That one has different challenges, but I'm afraid it might be too similar.

yup, games are more expensive these days... the world hasn't quite recovered from the pandemic (and likely never will, we're now in "new normal" mode). but you do get the equivalent of sagrada plus 2 or 3 expansions worth of stuff in the box :)

I might pick that one up in retail. Kickstarter comes with shipping, VAT and without language editions so I'll skip the campaign.

I am not a fan of "one time" legacy games. I really enjoy original Sagrada with tons of dice 😀

well you do get to keep playing after the campaign is over with the toys that are unlocked in this case :)

I may be missing something but I wonder why they just didn't produce this game to be used with markers. Without knowing rationale, my brain immediately goes to a cynical place of Floodgate trying to squeeze money from consumers.

i can't speak for them, but my assumption would be they went this way because legacy games are just fun to play! not being able to undo things but having to live with consequences of your decisions makes things much more intense. and since you've got the window sheets you can use after the campaign is over, it's endlessly replayable :)

I’m no longer interested in legacy games these days. They’re generally just too wasteful for my tastes. The reset pack is $50, so that goes to show how much of the game is going to end up in the trash. As you mentioned, they do provide a booster pack, but I kind of wish they would’ve followed in the footsteps of Welcome to the Moon instead of going the legacy route. But I get that lots of people love the permanent changes in a legacy game.

well you dont have to think of this as a legacy game if you don't want. you can skip the campaign and open everything and just go right to the "post game" where you've basically got a copy of sagrada with dozens of unique windows and new components... almost like a copy of the base game plus 2 or 3 expansions worth of stuff to play with :)
