Sagres Pale Lager

I love Sagres. We can buy it in Spain at the Alcampo. It's crisp and light. In the north of Spain on the Atlantic Ocean and Bay of Biscay, where it's cold and rainy with a maritime climate, Sagres and Estrella Galicia still taste good.

Drank this and bock in Portugal..its easy to drink on a hot day it was decent for a regular lager ..

The first holiday abroad i went to was to sagres with my mate and his family when I was 14, his uncle had a villa there and we went for 3 weeks in the summer of 1990, it was a fucking quality holiday still one of the best to this day, they used to serve you know matter how old you was so we was getting served pints of sagres in the local bars and it was only about 80p at the time, at the time I thought it was really nice but I knew no better then anyway, about 2 years ago I got a bottle of it in Nando’s and it was shite, not sure if it’s because it was taken over or because I was 14 and knew no better and was just pleased to get served in the sun but it wasn’t good

It may be time to invest in a new camera. I think you have a 720p camera and you upload in 1080p. I tried flicking between the resolutions and noticed no difference. Also I've only just noticed you have a fridge in the corner, for some reason I thought it was a flight case. I sometimes find odd glasses at charity shops. You should try that Redd's Cranberry (Żurawina) beer I mentioned, I got it from a Polish shop. It's a bit Lambic and about £1.63 (£6.50 for 4) a 500ml can.

Just back from Algarve and not a fan of their macro brewed stuff, weirdly all they served in hotel was San Miguel on tap a Spanish macro beer(must have deal with all the hotels) which to me was just liquid gas left me bloated and heartburn after couple "canecas" or large glasses, I have tried Superbock and Sagres found both to be just about drinkable not happy they both add other cereals like maize, found a couple of craft style beers which weren't too bad at all, had a couple from Algarve Rocks brewing which were pretty good quality, luckily a found an offy with a quality German helles which was perfect for the heat🍻

As a lover of many beer types and home brewer and for the life of me just don't get why breweries put adjuncts such as corn in beer. To a degree I get why at one time the Americans did. I mean, during WW2 barking was expensive in Britain and the brewers there could have been tempted to put all sorts of crap into their beers but largely to their credit, didn't. That's how the lower abv hoppy bitters came to prominence. It seems that brewers as you say, don't care about taste and slowly but surely micro lagers have gradually got worse. Sadly many Australian commercial lagers have.

Location makes a difference I think. Hot weather when you're by the beach a cold one of these will taste 100 times better, same with mythos in greece etc

I had this slightly better than superbock, maybe coz less gassy, not for me at all. First time I went to Portugal the Yorkshire family next apartment to us brought a pressure cooker with them, no joke, cheers 😊👍

We have a large Portuguese population, in the Ironbound section of Newark, NJ. It's loaded with restaurant's, all you see is Sagres & Super Bock. I prefer the Super Bock.🍻🍺

Drink selection in Portuguese bars is dreadful only 1 or 2 types of beer on tap invariably it’s Sagres or Super Bock and a few macro brews in cans and bottles. Not many spirits or wines available either.
