I didn't expect that I literally watched every second of this lmao but anyways it was really nice to listen to both of yalls stories. While watching this it felt like I'm listening to two older sisters just chatting and that stuff it feels rlly refreshing tbh and I learned a lot. I'm younger than both of you for a few years and I don't have much experience about some of the things you guys talked about so listening to your stories got me into some realizations about things in my own life. I especially appreciate the fact that y'all were talking about friendship and that stuff because I agree when Spencer said that platonic break ups hurt alot, like it hurts alot to the point that it got me into a depression state but I got over that after coming to terms with it but I was literally wallowing in self loathing and guilt for those 2 years and I think I was too negative within those 2 years. I literally told myself I will never get too close to anyone anymore because I was afraid I might be disappointed again. It didn't help that my friend group had her in it so at times I felt like I'm being suffocated because I didn't have anyone to talk to about it. I tried to talk to this person and all that but she wasn't ready to talk about it or make up with me. I understand that people view things differently but like it really hurts having to be the only one who's trying to fix things. I get that she was upset that I hinted to my teacher about her situation, she wasn't really in the best mental state at that time if you know what I mean and so my teacher saw those strange lines on her wrist and asked me about it, I told my teacher I didn't know because she literally didn't tell me anything about it and kept it from me, so I told my teacher what she told me when I asked her about it. She got upset with me and told me some time later that I broke her trust. That literally hit me so hard like I was body slammed by a goddamn truck. How was I to know when she didn't even tell me anything about it, she avoided me before that and hung out with the girls that tried to make fun of me because of my heart condition and that stung alot and I didn't know what was going on. When I try to go to her she would go somewhere else with these people and although I knew it hurt so bad, I tried to brush it off because I wanted to know why she's doing that before I jump to conclusions. I ended up chasing after her with everything that I've got (literally and figuratively, no kidding) but it all ended up really bad. I know it was partly my fault because I tried telling my teacher about her situation. I only wanted to help her.....she was suffering so much that it broke my heart looking at her like that. But ig she wanted to deal with it by herself. I was wrong, and I was sorry. I was ready to put aside the fact that all of that hurt me because I'd rather put down my pride than breaking off our friendship. It was only me who thought about it like that, I clung to the good memories I made with this person and it didn't help that she literally never says sorry about things like these. She admitted that she was prideful and would never say sorry, I thought that was just some joke yk but ofc it wasn't. Quarantine happened and I was left alone with my feelings trying to understand them all. Ik that what I'm about to say is stupid and annoying but I literally tried to reach out to her and ask her how she was DUDE IK THAT WAS STUPID I SHOULD'VE JUST LEFT HER ALONE ALREADY. Damn, looking back at it, I was so cringe, I couldn't take the hint because I literally put down my pride so that she and I could make up. I learned the lesson that for a relationship regardless of the label to work, the people involved should meet halfway and not yk one sided. And honesty should also be one of the foundation for trust. I learned that the hard way. She was a good person, she was fun to be around and she was really caring that's why I was friends with her. She's just not really honest about her feelings and I don't blame her she's also a bit too prideful which I hope she works on it because yk I still want her to form solid relationships in the future even if I'm not in it anymore. I came to terms with it, we still talk at times just not as much as before. I no longer chase after our long lost friendship. I look back at it sometimes and it still hurts but I no longer wallow in self loathing or guilt. I tried telling myself not to get too close to anyone, if they wanna be in my life then cool, if they wanna leave....then imma let them be. I stopped obsessing about these stuff, I moved back to my old place and because of a 5 day conference, I got to meet all sorts of people and befriend them. I also have found myself a friendship that I teasure now, I made sure to not repeat the same mistakes and this time the friend I have is literally like really awesome, we bond over our platonic break ups, music tastes, barbie YES BARBIE LMAO, and just about anything. I finally found myself people who treasure me as much as I treasure them so that's really nice and I'm grateful for all of it.
