Good points. However does mercerised cotton contain some synthetic filaments? One point you forgot to tell is that artificial silk is heavy. Pure silk is light in weight

The number is specific for that product or it is for the weaver. How can we check that the silkmark tag is genuine? Mam burning test of pure silk gives smell of burning hair not of burning dry leaf because silk is Protein fibre cotton gives burning smell of dry leaf because cotton is cellulose fibre .silk gives crispy residue and art silk gives hard bead after burning .
