This intro is spot on. I need my makeup to do the work for me. I'm often applying before the sun comes up and I don't take it off until the sun goes down. I'm really disappointed that a lot of the reviews of the Saie Foundation say the same thing. I was sooooo excited about it because I love many of their products. I was ready to buy on launch day, but thankful I showed restraint.

I know people hate intros, but too many people label me as picky, negative, etc when the reality is I’m not a full time beauty guru who can spend all day coming up with creative looks and making formulas work. Thanks for showing all of the variations in how to prep/apply this foundation. You definitely gave it a fair try. It's a "no" for me because I'm someone who doesn't want to change my current skincare routine, but I agree with what you said that this could be a winner for someone who is looking to streamline their products. Nothing wrong with that!

We used to call that finish greasy back in the old days (80s-90s). So I had dewy skin back then, not oily? LOL. This is a makeup item I will never use. Thanks for demonstrating it for us.

My skin is dry from increasing my tret and because of this, it was an extra dewy. But I can feel the foundation sitting on top of my skin and I just want to get it off. However, the color is such a beautiful match. Thank you for your review.

I don’t think I’ve EVER commented on a KZbin video but this was everything. I’m a high makeup consumer - I probably own every single non matte foundation that exists so I was hella excited to look like I was shining like a disco ball. This made me look straight up cake face - around my mouth had some sort of crust that I’ve never ever experienced, ever. I’m also super disappointed that they are clearly a. Scrubbing reviews under 4 stars on their website and b. Paying Sephora to somehow weight it higher in ratings. This is the most complicated, finicky AF foundation I’ve ever used and I LOVE Saie - I’d spin the sign for them on the corner but so glad you spoke your truth. I am a heavy oil / dewy skincare user and this just would not work. Thank you for keeping this one real.

^This is how everyone should review tints/foundations. That’s how I do it. Bare skin, then with SPF then with just skincare. I use tret so finding a hydrating and glowy foundation that stays glowy throughout the day and has no dry patches is a struggle for sure. Somedays I think I might go back to Bareminerals powder I used for years because it made my skin look amazing and then I can just add highlighter lol. Although this Saie product might work for my dry face. The other Saie tint was okay but after 1 hour the glow faded to matte on my face 🤷‍♀️so this one looks better for my dry face

I commented on Kait's last video showing this foundation, but I'll leave one here as well regarding shade 1 for anyone that it might help. If you're the fairest of fair, truly ultra pale, there's no shade for us. I have shade 1 and it's way too deep and orange for me. My closest foundation matches are the Hourglass foundations in Blanc, TF BTW in Cloud and EL DW in Alabaster, both KVD foundations in 002. I have normal to dry skin and it wore exactly the same on me as Kait's experience. I followed all the directions and it was the most unflattering my skin has ever looked. I didn't know I had any of the texture that this product showed on my face. No amount of powdering had any lasting effect. It stayed greasy and oily even with no products under it and with powder on top. I tried to make it work, but just couldn't.

I came to this video in the middle of hautemess tom's critical sass and I have to say, my favourite moment was when you put the tissue paper on your face to blot the shine - so, so, SO much better (and I do like a dewy finish)!!!

Wish I would have watched This before buying. I bought this after using the same foundation for a while but it was wayy go thick so I’m like let’s try something lighter. But I feel the exact same way. It looked ok when I first tried it then after setting it made my chin bumps super cakey looking and a few hours later it was super oily. I have combo skin so my cheeks tend to get very oily and the rest of my face is extremely dry. Gonna have to return sad I didn’t like this :/. I didn’t even look dewy just greasy

I returned it. I can’t with this product. I am dry and dehydrated. I love a glow, I don’t powder, I wear all the saie or merit products layered every day and I love it- so it should be just the thing I fall in love with -but wow it was so not good. It looked like pore city. All my dry patches showed. Bad. Bad. Bad.

did this product have a smell to it? I think I tried it a while back and I thought it had a smell. I wanted to like it but it just didn’t work. I’d be interested to see what their concealer is like because I like slightly dewy concealer..

Thank you for the very thorough review. 😀 I’ve seen a few positive reviews of this from people with dry skin but seems to be complicated and my skin type and color is similar to your skin. I don’t like looking greasy aka as “glowy” to some and having to use a ton of powder to tone it down. Curious what shade of L’Oréal serum foundation you use?

I mix C2 and c2.5. There isn’t a perfect shade for me in L’Oréal! Also loving Armani luminous silk in 4.75

The only positive review I’ve seen so far of this foundation was by Lisa J and she put it on with one of her BK brushes. She didn’t tap it on or stamp it but swirled and buffed like she always does. I think she’s a dry skin girl though.? Another reviewer said she liked it somewhat but couldn’t find a shade to match. Personally I thought she looked like she had CAKE FACE after she had it on for a few hours. Not for me👎🏼

In no universe should a product be released that instructs you to do minimal skincare or anything like that for it to work. If it’s that high maintenance, it’s not ready for mass consumption. 🤷🏻‍♀️ easy skip

Dang, it looked so good after you blotted it with a tissue! It seems like dry skin gals are really enjoying this foundation. I don't think it will fair well with my combo skin.. I also cannot stand skipping my skincare😩 Thank you for your persistence in trying all the ways💪
