I like how you're changing things up man. Giving us some variety is a nice change of pace. Keep it up.

Useful gun !! To mine, did 922r including US sear and hammer, polished ALL bearing and mating surfaces with fine polishing compound, seated the locking lugs, installed feed ramp, modded mag lock to fit AK mags, installed good muzzle brake. I buy GOOD russian hollowpoint ammo. Use the rifle for most of my 125 yard hunting here in Alaska (i don’t hunt bear). With 4 power scope groups a little under 2 in at 100. Am currently using red dot because it’s faster. I clean it after every use…same as my custom Mausers.

Wrong on so many points man. You can expect reasonably good accuracy from a Saiga and most AK variants with average fundamentals and a little skill. I'm talking 2 moa or a little over. Secondly, AKs definitely need to be maintained just like any other rifle. AKs are amazing rifles but not just for lazy people who don't want to care for them cus they'll fire no matter what. Its definitely a perk but not everything aboit the system. Lastly, wtf kind of sling wrap was that with your trigger hand? The sling stabilization happens with your support hand. I generally go to KZbin to find people who know more about I do on certain subjects. If you don't know anything on a subject, don't say anything about it. Now i gone and wasted the time to write this which doubled my wasted time watching your video in the first place.

i never really thought about the whole wood aspect. you bring up some very interesting points that i think the average joe would never consider.

He just mentioned a myth about this gun: "you can throw it in the dirt, sand, pick it up and will gobble any ammunition",, something like that. You don't treat any gun so recklessly. You protect them from dirt, you keep 'em clean and lubricate them properly. Any gun and the AK "platform" is not different. I had an old AK 47 with machined receiver in the Hungarian Army in the early 60s and we were told that the gun can't be clean enough! It can only be cleaned. I could not have had a score of 30 in 3 shots in the prone position at 150 meters at the "qualification match" for the oath of allegiance with dirt all over! Yes, the group was about 1 1/2 inch, not bad for a beat up AK 47 and a radio telegraph operator. True, it takes some rough handling and some 'impurities" here and there won't affect it like it might some precision rifles. But don't be fooled, you got to keep it clean if you want accuracy and long life. Talking about accuracy, It's not OK to have a 4-5 inch group at 50 yards or "a foot" at 100 yards. Are you kidding? This rifle is capable of doing at least an inch and a half or less at 100 yards as I mentioned earlier! This guy obviously is not serious. I can tell he is a wood worker :) Third thing that blew my mind is "shooting thousands of rounds..."!!?? Who is shooting thousands of rounds? Maybe an Olympic champion or a misguided shooter who can't hit the target and makes his money as a car salesman. If you have your rifle zeroed in all you need is a box of ammunition to keep your skills up in good shape. The rest is waste.

I live in NY so i know what you mean about just needing a good functional weapon. I live my saiga how it is. Although i plan on making a nice monte carlo wood stock with black walnut. I think im gonna just trace the polymer stock and use my quad rail front end for my flashlight. the aries scr line is cool for AR lowers that are 50 state legal as well

thank god I live in Tennessee, where I can make all the modifications to my guns I want. I don't need anyone's permission and I have a pretty good number of full autos and silencers...ofcourse I don't NEED either, but they're fun!...so is tannerite! :D

Be careful, since saiga's are imported firearms you must be 922R compliant or you face jail time...

xBeau Gaming...not in TN, you want to buy a silencer, machine gun, or bazooka in TN you just need to pay an extra 200 dollar tax at purchase...also not a huge fan of saiga, they make nice shotguns but shotguns are kinda hard to botch.

clericofchaos1 blog.cheaperthandirt.com/922r-compliant/ Its a federal law bud, you absolutely need to be 922r compliant if you do decide to change a saiga build. I would pass...just make a 80% lower AR platform and leaving the saiga stock.

clericofchaos1 It's 10 years in a federal prison for illegal modifications to a firearm if you choose to not care about it. I would absolutely make sure if you do anything to a foreign firearm that its in compliance with 922R.

Fellow Saiga owner in California here and I was just wondering if you had any plans on converting your rifle and using a bullet button? I can't decide what to do with mine, I like the look of the ak103 but I also really want the ability to detach the mag without a hassle I can't decide xD
@xBeauGaming
@xBeauGaming 9 жыл бұрын
Not worth the hassle IMO. I always catch shit from range officers when I go because my Saiga will spit brass 4-5 stalls down, they always think I didn something to it...Just leave it stock man. Don't worry about it, just carry more magazines.

While I personally like most of your videos, I think you need to decide on what to do (gaming, gun stuff etc) I think you will do better if you do one of those things and stick with it.

I do whatever is interesting to me. 90% of the time it's gaming, but I change stuff up from time to time. Do some unboxing stuff, how to build something, might rethink the game cooking idea and who knows what else. I understand what you mean, and thank you for staying with me even if some of my content is a little varied.
