Bart takes on Japan's finest sailors in the DF95 Japan Challenge. This is race 1 of 6. All Bart has to do is sail the Japanese Mahi to victory in one of the six races to win the challenge.

How come you didn't pull the boat after the end of the second race?? If I were you in the 3rd race - I'd have been ready to just pop, I'd just be so frustrated!

They start playing the music for the next race as soon as the 1st boat crosses the finish line. With the language barrier, it was tough just figuring out how they raced.

Though funny that finishing line is downwind. Is that normal?

Definitely a foul and yes looked to be a caluclated move. Maybe try coming way from the back and timing the start on the fsr side and get out in the river with a quick take then a straight run to the first mark.

Yeah, if I’d known the gaps between races were so short I’d probably have hoped the same. Delighted you got it on the 6th, but holy smokes that was a close call!!
