ICW sailing in 39 degrees! Making our way to Beaufort, SC and MUCH warmer weather. In this episode of sailboat living with SailAway we truly begin our voyage south and onward to Caribbean sailing AND sailing around the world. We set off bright and early in 39 DEGREE WEATHER! and not without our little setbacks including some electronics issues and a bit of a grounding. Hey Guys, love watching your vids. Mostly because of the boat! I have a 93 Legend 35.5 I am setting up for cruising. I love being able to check out what you have and seeing what works. That's awesome! We'll definitely go check you out. (and by the way, your name makes me wanna crank up some Led Zep today) These are GREAT boats so we're really stoked to hear you'll be cruising yours soon. For a 35' boat I woud say the interior space is actually really good and well thought out. For two people, a 2-year-old, and a dog...yeah, a little tight. Lol. There's truly nothing I hate about the boat that isn't just typical space issues with this size boat. Worst thing may be if you still have a metal holding tank. The inlet on ours went bad and we replaced the whole thing with a poly tank. If you go to our 2nd "messing about on boats" video (I think it's that one) we show a lot of that. Gross job and kind of involved but worthwhile and not terribly expensive for what you're getting. Probably what we love most is how she sails...these are REALLY fast and stable boats if they have good sails and are set up well. We race pretty often and have done well, even with just us two sailing her. Not to mention we've gotten ourselves into some VERY rough seas and weather and she handled it all very gracefully. Good luck getting her out there and keep in touch!
