Fantastic video! It’s refreshing to find a cruise channel that doesn’t have all the fluff you get in other cruise Vlogger videos. You can easily determine whether a ship is right for someone or not, which I really like. Keep up the good work gents!

Great tour, thank you! My hubbie and I just sailed on another royal class ship, the Discovery Princess. I had to laugh because the spa is 100% identical to princess. I wish princess had the crow's nest. Such a nice feature.

Just got off a week long Fjord cruise on her and it was our first and last P and O cruise. So many problems, was expecting a holiday of a lifetime and it was pretty poor. Think we will have to do the Fjords again with Celebrity!

@Sail Away with Dan & Jay Yeah we are booked on Marella Discovery 2 for a 2 week cruise in October! We did Explorer last April and loved it. Will definitely be doing the Fjords again but with Celebrity or Royal Caribbean! The Fjords were stunning!

We sailed aboard her during her Maiden Season too, and we have to say that in terms of decor and maintenance - she seemed as new and appealing on the eye, as she did back in both 2015 and 2018 when we travelled aboard her last. Hello again Dan & Jay. Loved this ship as well. I think your idea of placing a (£) sign next to venues that have charges is one BRILLIANT idea. It save annoying you. BTW mates; do the new P & O Ships like IONA and BRITANNIA have dinging rooms where the tariff for food is included with the cruising fare or are all Dinning and restaurant venues charged for. Further; Are Breakfasts/Lunches/and Dinners also charged for separately to that of the cruising charge? Have fun chaps.

Hey Angus - Thank you so much! The main dining venues and buffet are all included in your fare, however as you mentioned there are other restaurants you will need to pay extra for. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included in your fare if you dine in the main dining or buffet, but elsewhere will be chargeable. 😄

Hello Alan, yes it’s called the Marlow Suite which is used for weddings and special functions - but most of the time it’s a games room!

Hello Scott - thanks for your comment and feedback. The My Holiday app is only available when connected to the ship's WiFi. Once you are onboard, simply connect to the ship's network, go onto safari/internet explorer and it should load straight away. They call it an app, but it's more like a webpage to be honest. It's pretty simple to use, but if you have any issues the Reception were very helpful in showing us how to use it. Hope you have a great time :)

Looks like a lovely ship. There seems to be a lot of +£ restaurants - what is the quality of food in MDR? Also, do you have to buy coffee from 'costa'? or is the alternative just the buffet or your cabin? Finally, do P&O have a drinks package? Thanks x

Hello, thanks for your feedback and comment! Don't worry, this is a mistake on our end - the Serenity Pool is next to the retreat, but is separate to the Retreat and does not incur an extra charge. You can enjoy this relaxing pool area without having to dip into your pockets :) hope this clears things up.

Hello Isabelle. Food includes the main dining restaurants, buffet restaurant, poolside grill, poolside pizzeria and Grab and Go counters by the pool which serve sandwiches and salads for lunch. In terms of drinks, much of which comes at an extra charge. Tap water, fruit juice at breakfast and standard tea and coffee is complimentary. Everything else comes at an extra charge. Thanks, that has decided for us. Not cruising on Britania unless it is really cheap and a lot of ports in the itinerary. Pools look nice. Hot tubs missing, no window cabins, no real promenade deck. Not interested in Bars, Atriums (airport waiting room), casinos etc. Nice vid by the way.

@@sailawaymag If P&O perhaps Azura, Arcadia, Aurora or Ventura depending on itinerary and price. Have done Iona which was OK but not as good as the RCI ships we have been on or even the older P&O ships like Oceania we did a few years ago.

Hi folks,,,I’m thinking of booking with p&o, so pleased I watched this clip. I’m surprised by how much of the restaurants are fee paying restaurants. Watching this, there’s a lot of money to spend on top of your booking fee. Very expensive

Yes, it alarms many! There are no more extra charge venues on P&O than inclusive eateries. P&O isn't the cruise line it once was. But Britannia is a great ship, and offer some very competitive fares. You just need to budget for the extra charge elements when onboard. All the best :)

The Oasis Spa, The Retreat, Casino and the Adult's Only Serenity Pool are out of bounds - as are some venues late at night, but this will be indicated to you in The Horizon - which is like a newsletter, and this will give all the information regarding activities onboard for the following day. Hi. How do we even book a Cruise in order to get the cruise card and our crusie card number ? It says on their website we have to CALL in. That means I have to call international call from Singapore ? Correct?

@@sailawaymag yes this is true, no doubt when pacific explorer gets replaced it’ll be with a bigger class like this. I have yes, when I worked for carnival corporation but never as a guest though. After seeing yours and Emma cruises videos I’d love to try a British isles and Norwegian Fjords cruises though! I do have a few booked or in the planning, Carnival Splendors first cruise back from Sydney in October, Costa errr Carnival Luminosa’s “inaugural” sailing from Brisbane is in the planning for November, NYE cruise on Quantum of the seas from Brisbane and in march an 80’s themed cruise on Pacific Explorer from Adelaide. 🥳

P&O tend to have some of the cheapest cruises from the UK. Not as good as RCI or Celebrity X but can be good value for money.
