Enjoyed this video immensely. It brought back memories of the past for me. It doesn't matter which century you sailed in, or decade for that matter, all sailors seem to think the same. You anticipate savoring the very last of the fresh food before living out of cans or packages. You get channel fever anticipating what you're going to do the first day or night in port, and you start thinking of what that first meal will be, etc. Planning on which repairs to do while in port before setting sail for some other adventure. Here's wishing you all the best for a great New Year.

God Jul och Gott Nytt År! As always a great video produced by you two! Was hoping to see some fish being caught. Enjoy the luxury cruising over the holidays and I hope Malin heals up quickly and doesn't suffer any long lasting discomfort! I broke my big toe a few years ago mountain biking and it wasn't fun.
@RANSailing8 жыл бұрын
Tack Jonathan! We had to sacrifice the fishing for the towing generator to give us electricity during this passage. I also hope my toe heals fast so I can start to walk again. Happy new year! /Malin
@jonathank52898 жыл бұрын
I kind of figured that was the case regarding the towing generator. It wouldn't be fun to get a couple yards of fishing line tangled in it. Being a fisherman I see it as a giant teaser that is attracting fish to the boat.

Congrats on your transit. Something that I think would make some great content for your channel is going into detail on your navigation and chart plotting. Seems like details such that that always tend to interest viewers who aren't often around boats. You've hinted at your plotting and navigation, but so far it has mostly felt kind of glossed over. (Unless I missed a part of a video somewhere.) Keep up the awesome content. Wonderfully relaxing to see while I'm sitting up here in a Canadian winter.

Funny you mention details that would interest you. I was wondering about the workings of the windvane... which points of sail it can handle and how much effort it takes to adjust it when the wind shifts to stay on course.
