Absolutely stunning. Video from another world. Totally untouched and unimaginably beautiful.

Thanks! I should say the drone shots are all Rhys in this one (and mostly Rhys in the last 2 as well)

I can understand why you decided to jump at this opportunity, Mark. How does zora fair against corrosion and rust. I was following the restoration a few years back, and it would be great to see how well the paintwork has stood up to the test of time. Best regards from Jarle

She has done pretty well, a few spots here and there but nothing serious. She could do with a coat of paint now after her atlantic loop

@rhysmate5235 I am considering building my own steel yacht "by myself"... but it looks like the overall costs are beyond what I am willing to spend. However, that's the reason for the original question. Thanks for coming back to me on this one. Best regards from Jarle

Thanks for the comment Jarle! As you say, too good an opportunity to miss and a once in a lifetime trip. Zora stood up very well to the challenges.

Perhaps including a few screenshots of a chart and where are might add to the video. Good luck with the adventure.

Yes, apologies, I do know that makes for a more interesting video. I had a few clips like that recorded but the engine noise was just so loud that they were pretty unusable. Thanks for watching

We hope to sail up there some day in our ketch ⛵ thing its a Fiber kecth, but still, wouldn't plan to go to fsr north, just to where snow or ice starts would be enough ❤️ Great video 🌎⛵❤️

Thanks! There were only a handful of boats there at the same time as us, (you can see most of them in the parts shot in Aapilatoq) the majority were GRP hulls. The steel was nice for a bit more robustness but not essential for Southern Greenland in the right season and with the right forecast, etc, in my opinion.

@@SoloSailingSapphira yes I saw at the end, the boats were fiber, and researched where you were, and saw it's south coast of Greenland, that would be fine for us. Thanks for commenting back 🙏🏻 Regards from Tenerife Canary Islands 🍻 all the best ❤️🙏🏻⛵🌎🏴☠️🦜⚓

Very nice. Curious to know why StarLink has a plastic bag over it. Cheers.

Maybe to keep ice from forming on it?

@lowcountrydawg2525 yeah, fair point.

Hi Alan, we were concerned with some of the weather we experienced on passage that water could get driven into the unit, so just a precaution really.
