There is not a better feeling than knowing your crew will be on deck before you can ask for help. What it means is that they take as much responsibility for the boat as you do.

I have been following your videos for now years. You are living my dream. Since I was 13, I’ve been obsessed with the idea of living on a sailboat. So much, I joined the navy for 6 years. There’s something magical about the ocean and you know what I’m talking about. I’m now 33, with my current profession, and about to flip a home, I’ll be buying a boat paid in full and starting my dream, that you all live! Although, I’m a golden shellback, I’m not a sailor like you 4! I could use some good tips on what to expect being the “jack of every trade” when out to sea sailing! Or, open up a rack to give some real life expectancies on the open blue! Keep up the amazing videos. They literally keep motivating me to pursue this lifestyle. It’s been my dream for half my life!

That theme song is the best ! It says it all in its bright tropical tones . It's as good as any tv theme. You should do some video of the band doing the song , out of respect . I'd love to see it .

Love the perspective from the spinnaker pole at 20:00! Nobody with a blue-water-capable boat who's read "the Count of Monte Cristo" doesn't think of this part of your voyage as being in their imminent future.

Love what you all are doing...so many thanks DELOS! stay safe & happy sails

Another great episode Delos! Listening to Brian talk about all of you meeting in the companion way and coming together and just doing what you have to do. You guys just click so much. Your vibe is why you are my favorite channel. I can't wait to see what else you have in store for the tribe especially after seeing you guys on Rick's channel. Grenada is definitely where you need to be this time of year and I know we are going to see your best. I'm so excited to see you guys in the Caribbean, the sailing community is so strong there and those relationships are what you guys do best. I really hope we get to see you guys meet up with Lizbef this season, I know she is stuck up in Martinique dealing with their issues. It really is the relationships you guys show what it is like cruising. Make a call on the radio and the whole anchorage is gonna show up. Love you guys, fair winds!

Couldn't wait till lunchtime to watch, my work in the office is suffering thanks to the Delos Crew...:) I'm really enjoying watching just the four of you exploring , don't get me wrong I think it is vital bringing in other folks and watching them integrate into the crew (wished I could be one of those) but it just seems more relaxed...Kazza has become a true sailor ( not that I would know being a backpacker and spend my time in the Mountains) but the way she jumped into action during the squall was natural and showed her strength and comfort with being in the midst of a storm...and yes, Mr. Brady the smell technology could be interesting ...:)... As always, you guys are living the dream ...I've suggested to my 30 year old son who is a highly successful Engineer that he should consider an Alternative Lifestyle , he would be a Capt Brian type who could throw all caution to the " Wind" and navigate the waters of this life with the same gusto...and just maybe take dear old Dad with him ...:)

Its amazing how little Delos bounces around. Was great to see the team move in and manage a situation. All seems so subdued on such a big boat. But that might be the slick operation. I was only thinking recently that i never see you in high winds or big swell. But it happens. Thanks for leave the gopro running. And she sure goes! I thought only cats cruised at 10 knots...

Luckily Delos is a tough boat. La Vagabonde jibed in a much lower wind situation and it broke the boom right off the mast which was very bad for the boat. It was an easy repair but the part had to come from france. Elanya was so sad but stuff happens. Of course, they say the movement of a monohul spills some of the wind force so that helps also. Good work guys, your really in tune with the boat, deeply subconscious..

Yeah Brian, if you'd been a little more the diplomat instead of waltzing into Delos' manufacturer and proclaiming "I'm gonna butcher this name here blah blah, you dudes would be sailing in a magnificent brand new pontoon sailboat. The French are very egotistical and sensitive to slights, real or imagined. You thought you were in the cat bird's seat and that they'd fall all over themselves to accomodate you but. Didn't happen. Nope.
@thomas77705 жыл бұрын
That’s not true Frank Kelly. Both parties enjoyed the visit to Amel, which was depicted in the video. As to what was said privately between Brian and Amel in reguard to a “Delos II” negotiation would be only speculation on our part. All parties were perfectly cordial. We can all keep our fingers crossed and our thumbs held for an awesome new Delos II in the future. Will it be another Amel?

Another cool video guys. Quite a contrast from there to Brazil. While I was watching the video I managed to win an auction for a 15hp Johnson outboard for out tender. I have been running an 8hp, but it was not big enough to get the hull planing with more than one person on board. Now we should be able to tow the younglings behind on the SUP and have some fun this summer. Thanks for the continuing inspiration team! Cheers. Wade.

Yes Max Noremo did some amazing music for Delos when Max and Frida were crewing on Delos, remember when they were sailing together in Indonesia and also the Indian Ocean, wasn't it so sweet? I wished that max was still doing some of there music again, Max wrote the music for the scene, not just some random music added-like a lot of channels do, hey! are you listening Capt. Brian? Ya!

Also being a former sailor myself (US Navy) it is an amazing feeling when you do sense changes in weather, boat reaction, etc it comes natural after a length of time on a floating home. 20 meter swells in the north Atlantic will make anyones cheeks pucker.
