Finally, a sailing episode that lives up to the title. You did a great job, and who said "production boats" cannot take a beating. Well done. Cheers.

Honestly it looks pretty calm. Your taking waves directly to your port side under sail in high winds and the boat appears to be handling it amazingly. Looks fun.

Loving your videos! So glad I found your channel while I was taking NauticEd's sailing course module on reefing sails! Reefing when it gets to 18knots works well on our 33ft Hunter too and after binge watching your videos from episode 1 and seeing how things can escalate quickly once the wind is building, I am definitely going to make this a rule on our boat. Thank you for all your great content!!!

Darn, hoping all that bobbing around the first mate would have accented slipped off, leaving room for new crew. I guess I need to hope for another time. All good glad you made it.

Why? did you not get the forecast? I mean a Beneteau should NEVER see this much wind
@SailingBohemia2 жыл бұрын
Look up Papagayos winds and their behavior... they cannot be forecast and they blow from January to May.. you can get only 20 knts or you can get 50knt... we clocked 48 as the max. you stay close to shore ao if things get bad, you can anchor.. that's the well known strategy for the crossing
@SVParadigme202 жыл бұрын

Buddy been sailing 40 years living aboard for the last 10 years. There is no such thing as an impossible to forecast weather pattern. Only folks who can’t read a weather map or click baiters… wondering where you fit in🤷♂️

It's ok you don't have to read about it, we love hearing from people who've acquired enough knowledge for their lifetime 😘 Wishing you fair winds but maybe avoid sailing here!
