Great videos and you got lucky that it was a good year to go north. Half of the time it doesn't stop blowing strong northers and you can't or won't go north. I agree Penasco is a no go. I've been around San Carlos for forty years and it has grown alot but still good. Good luck on your travels.

Oh, it got knarly north of Puerto Refugio and just south of Purto Penasco. Our buddy boat had to turn around in these sections. San Carlos was a gem. Cheers

Glad that you are loving the videos. These took a lot of organization as we had taken so much footage. Are you planning to visit the Sea sometime?

Glad we can provide an avenue of escape. Maybe you can spare a week or two from your work life and vacation here sometime. It would be worth it.

Great video as usual Scott and Laurie. You have gone to great detail showing us how you have prepd. the boat for long distance travel and all the redundant systems you have wisely installed. I and possibly others would be interested in learning how you prepare for medical emergencies should they occur while in the middle of the Ocean and 10 days away from land-based help. We have seen your toolshed but what do you carry in terms of meds, antibiotics, eye drops, meds for toothaches etc. What about first aid training and other more advanced medic training etc. Maybe a short segment on this would also be very interesting. Just a thought.

Good question and a future episode idea for sure. We have consulted with a Canadian travel doctor in Victoria who prescribed altitude sickness, seasickness, epi pen meds and our vaccinations are up to date. We also purchased an AED machine to aid in the possibility of heart problem with us or others sharing an anchorage as well as oxygen for possible scuba diving accidents. I am a medical professional (physical therapist) who has maintained a high level of first aid certifications over the years. We have a fully stocked first aid kit. We hope that is enough to help with a medical emergency and hope that we never have to use most of it. Cheers, Laurie

Hi Laurie and Scott, thanks for the great informative videos that are both helpful and entertaining! Now that you have some serious mileage behind you am curious to find whether the Lagoon 400s is shaping up to your expectations. Looking ahead at your plan to circumnavigate with ocean crossings ahead would you have preferred something a bigger....the 450 perhaps...or happy and comfortable with the 400? appreciate BR

We are definitely happy with the 400 S2, it is small enough to fit into every Marina but large enough to fit all our things comfortably. It sails surprisingly well, is super comfortable and the perfect size for 2, we think. We will see how it performs on the puddle jump! Thanks for watching Laurie and Scott

Wow I guess you just got into range of some internet and had been saving up videos for a while!1

That is entirely correct. We tried for a week in La Paz to upload the Spinnaker video but couldn't find an upload speed fast enough. Here in Mazatlan, the internet is much better. Also, breaking the videos into segments no more than 15 min long helped. Thanks for your patience. We are now up to date. Cheers, Laurie
