Before the internet, I first came across a TUGS VHS in a library. Seeing the "From the producers of TTTE" made me think it was a knock-off Thomas show. God was I wrong when I first watched an episode years later!

I remember find one of the photo books at a psychologists waiting room(story had something to do with sunshine and billy shoepack) I hadn’t had any prior knowledge of tugs at the time, making this my first exposure to the series.

I also have an ertl Foduck, with a semi-interesting story behind it. Christmas 2018, I’m a happy little tugs fan, and I finally get onto my last present! I try to figure out what it is before unraveling the coloured paper, and when I do I get really excited, I’m getting and ertl Ten Cents or Sunshine! ‘But then there was trouble!’ It was Foduck :( But now I’m a fan of Theodore Tugboat as well so it doesn’t matter. Still kinda bugs me tho

Nice to see your TUGS collection!! I have 8 of the picture books as well as one of the possible reference books used in the production of TUGS. I used to watch Theodore Tugboat as a kid and only heard of TUGS in 4th grade but after seeing an adaption of, "Munitions" I was too scared to watch it until High School when Wildnorwester uploaded his, "Last Straw" video! And I would like to visit the Trust some day but living in the USA makes it difficult. I do hope to speard around my own views on TUGS someday. And did they air Theodore Tugboat in the UK?

Despite my departure from Thomas & Friends, I am still very loyal to TUGS. Up in the loft at home, I have all the TUGS videos; the very first one that was my introduction to Thomas' sister-show was Sunshine/Pirate; this was followed by High Tide/Warrior/Bigg Freeze; thirdly, Trapped/Ghosts/High Winds; fourthly, Muntions/4th of July; and then, last but not least, Jinxed/Quarantine/Up River. Also, I have the TUGS annual, and I bought the Model Boats magazine featuring the Star Tugs Trust.

my first encounter with Tugs was when my sister saw it at our local video rental store. she got it to try to get me to watch something apart from Thomas and friends. I watched it, but I told my sister I didn't really like it, not wanting to think she had 'won'. I remember having trouble telling Big Mac and Warrior apart, I thought they were one character having a personality split, that is until they were on screen together. the video was 'Sunshine/Pirate'

I rediscovered Tugs about 8 years ago. I had always tried to find another video but never could, but I soon found it on youtube. I was horrified to find that only 13 episodes made of such a brilliant series, so I watched them over a week or so to enjoy them more. I found a copy of Sunshine/Pirate in a charity shop for 50c, plus 3/4 buzz books.

What a beautiful collection👍👍I've made a remake of the 1st episode Sunshine on my channel with wooden cube models I've made myself, as only Ten Cents and Sunshine were ever made in Ertl. I'm very proud of the result. It's available in English dub on my channel, and also in a Danish version narrated by myself

hey some of these props are preserved & are now on display in a old baggage coach at Midland Railway they are looking for more of the props too! I felt that Izzy Gomez was a characterization/insult to Mexicans but Mel Blanc play a person from Mexico in The Jack Benny Show & voiced Speedy Gonzales too I think there's at least 8 or so books of Little Toot & none were by Walt Disney!

The only TUGS merch i have is the Jinxed/Quarintine/Up River VHS that i found in a 2nd-hand shop that no longer exists. (I also got the Excellent Earth Movers & Fantastic Fire Fighters Mega Machines tapes at the same time) TBH, after seeing all TUGS episodes; the ones i have are the only ones i like. :/
