The sound of the boat hitting all the ice is crazy

Wow, feels like I am right there with you. Great job filming as it is very difficult to do in cold. Also, I was probably in Greenland the same time as you at Qaqortoq, Nanortalik and Prince Christian Sound. Greenland is such a special place. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

good it is hot here in Japan so welcome the ice and fruit juice the sea is minus 10 around the boat and ice will cling to the boat and it can sink ,it is a dangerous time ,the captain is crazy what if the engine freeze

Those boats are designed to handle extreme conditions like that.

Is this an icebreaker, special type of boat designed to move through ice? Is there also a helicopter tour?
@WandererBell2 жыл бұрын
Those boats are designed to sail above the arctic circle and can handle ice and extreme weather conditions. You will soon see the flight video above the glaciers and the ice sheet.

One kilometer away from the glacier.....That's so close. Is it safe to get that close?
@WandererBell2 жыл бұрын
We were all nervous but the captain said it was totally safe. We lucked out with the weather. 4 weeks ago, it was only possible to get up to 4 kilometers off the glacier.

Hi thanks for posting these videos. Can you tell me what month you were there? And do you think late August is pushing it with the weather? Thanks!
@WandererBell Жыл бұрын
You are welcome. My videos of Ilulissat were filmed from early to mid-July. If you go in late August, you will miss the opportunity to see the midnight sun. Also, you will have to be very lucky when it comes to the weather.

Hello, please comment on how much the boat moves during the 2.5h ride...I am very sensitive to boat movements...thanks
@WandererBell4 ай бұрын
The boat movement can vary depending on the weather. It’s generally moderate, but if you’re sensitive to motion, you might want to bring some motion sickness remedies. Hope you have a smooth ride!

I really enjoy your videos and your passion for travel. We have that in common. I do suggest at times to cut the commentary. Time and time again you say you won’t add background music or edit so we can experience the moment as you are… and you bring up time and time again there are people next to you around you… please just let the noise of nature take over really it’s hilarious

Thanks so much for watching my videos! I am thrilled we share a passion for exploring. I appreciate your feedback about the commentary. The reason I include dialogue in my vlogs is that it is intentional. I purposely use it as a tool to monitor my speech progress over time. It is fun to watch my own old videos and compare them to the new ones to see how they progress. I understand your point about letting the natural sounds take center stage. While I have mentioned not adding background music or heavy editing to maintain the authenticity of the moment, I totally get how the recurring commentary can seem a bit much. Finding that balance is something I am working on from day 1. Just to clarify, my videos aren't primarily aimed at a broad audience. They are more of a personal journey and less about appealing to everyone. I am grateful for your understanding and your feedback. Thanks again for being a part of this journey!
