@@AlexGoesSailing I have not used one for years. but we always put it clears side up. so that the sun's rays passed through the water and the black part was at the bottom, as heat rises, and all that good stuff. worth testing out in the garden to see if I am right.. or wrong :)

Excellent episode with real sailing that we all can 'sympathise' with (the use of the outboard!). Looking forward to the return trip. Thank you.
@AlexGoesSailing
@AlexGoesSailing Жыл бұрын
Thanks Roger! If there was enough wind to sail all the way then I bet the anchorage would have been really uncomfortable with the swell! Worth it for the few hours that I needed the outboard and it definitely earned its keep!

I much agree with others, one of your best videos, thank you. A quick question on the fridge. What kind of power consumption does this draw. I just have a small cooler on my Seaward Fox 19, but like the idea of bacon sarnies and other fine fare for overnights! 😅
@AlexGoesSailing

@@gonesailing thanks for watching and I’m glad you liked it! The compressor fridge uses 5amp for a few mins every hour so hardly anything. The thermoelectric that I had before pulled 5amp all the time and wouldn’t be that cool.

Yeah, we generally call it a tuna fish sandwich in the south of the US. Up north they call it a tuna salad sandwich. You know what they say, about us being separated by a common language and all. Now I'm going to have to ask my Canadian and Kiwi friends how they eat it, and what they call it. Fortunately, my Kiwi friend lives in Australia now, and he can give me insight there. Alex how did you become so much of a handful? I see you got a comment from the Old Sea Dog. You're becoming successful. I need to remember to share your video, but for now, I need to get to bed. Take care Alex.
