My wife and I worked out of St Thomas back in the 80’s taking folks out sailing. One of our guests brought a fly rod with him and introduced me to fly fishing and bonefish. Caught my first couple hundred bonefish in between charters. Many at the spots in your video. Great memories came to mind watching you guys fishing.

You are totally hunting! Growing up hunting and fly fishing it was unbelievable to incorporate the two. And there is definitely a learning curve to even spotting the gray ghosts little lone figure out how to cast to them. Love it! Permit and tarpon are next on my list. Then roosters and GT. Always in the pursuit of more challenges. But my biggest bone at roughly 28” almost popped my backing twice! Other spots poking 8-9ft black tip sharks in the nose with my fly rod because they were way too close. Love all of it. And if you’re ever back in the short bus area of the flathead valley hit me up. I’ve got a raft and love guiding.

This reminds me of a film I saw in Missoula, MT at The Wilma theater. It was a Logjam presents showing of the Fly Fishing Film Tour. Films showcasing fishing trips: large waterways of the PNW (USA), small creeks of the East Coast (USA), tropical islands (like shown), New Zealand's trout that grow to unbelievable size, and in South America. THE DREAM TRIPS for everybody but those who live there and then it is more just everyday occurrence and apart of life. Mmmmmm
