When fishing from high platform you should use a long hook to pull the fish up. You NEVER lift it up with the rod. Friendly advise. God bless you two and fair winds ❤❤❤❤❤

Eating becomes a huge thing when at sea. Bahamas i ate more black eyed peas and rice. To much. Eventually you crave a french fry like nothing else. My two cents. You guys are great.

James and Philippa, the most delightful sailing show on KZbin! James is by far the luckiest man on the open seas, such a beautiful companion and mate in Philippa, you two complement each other very well and it's pure joy to see you interact and tease each other. Love the shoutout to Ryan and Sophie, they are now headed across the Atlantic to the Canaries for some odd reason. Hopefully, they will be back soon and you all can cross the Pacific together! I think the Tuna saw Philippa and had the same reaction allot of us have seeing her in that skimpy bathing suit, LOL, hahahahaha. God Bless You Both, fair winds and fair seas, looking forward to your next adventure and how to map the gulf stream, should be interesting and entertaining.

One thing I ask myself when watching an Aequus video is, "Why do I get such a *'good-mood-feeling'* as compared to all the other YT sailing channels?" I doubt it's the content, the sailing, the boat, or any projects. Is it the manners, the language, the personalities, the interactions, the smiles, the culinary joy, the non-stressed mood, the positivism, the generosity, the respect, the self-awareness? I don't know, but for sure watching them increases my sgPFC activity!

Hi James - One thing I notice on your B&G Setup is that you are not displaying the "Current Speed & Direction" on the Sail Steer Panel. This is an arrow in the center of the display that shows both the speed and direction of the current - which is super handy. If you look up the setup of the Sail Steer panel in the Zeus 3 Operators guide it shows how to set it up. I am assuming that you have a seperate Speed/depth Log (typically a paddle wheel). I also configure my display to show "Speed through Water" - which comes from the log in addition to "Speed over Ground" which comes via GPS. If your log is well configured the current will be the difference between StW vrs SOG.

put a big subwoofer down in a bilge next to the hull under the waterline, even MOUNTED SOLID TO THE BOAT...... play lots of stuff with serious low notes even if the human ear cant hear 100 or even down to 20 hertz.... that vibration is FELT and well..... it will help in the critter spotting game!!! :) also, as well as the BOOMING SUBWOOFER THEORY... another of my theorys is, I think there is present STATIC CHARGE 'tween' the boat moving thru the water bringin in the ions down the mast into the water, some tron'ik mumbo jumbo and the static charge of the moooovement TICKLES THE DOLFINS and they like it .... I am not a marine specilist or wutever but those are ANSWERS **I** got when in meditation such questions were posed to the ''superconscious'' higher mind levels and watnot ;) so ...''more than a THEORY'' but tiz THOUGHTS I THUNK UP so passing it on...

Bloody hopeless fishermen, you two are. I have laughed my box off watching the pair of you trying to land a fish. I guess the more you try the better you'll get at it. I really think you need a gaff and maybe a net. Using a bucket isn't really a good idea. Oh, and when that tuna turned up at the boat, you should have just hauled it straight into the boat while keeping tension on the line. Once you lifted it then put it back in the water, that is when the hook came loose and the fish was gone. Never mind, you'll get there.
